Ceramic Coating Across Lake County
We apply ceramic coatings at driveways and workplaces across Lake County, Ohio — see ceramic coating in Mentor or every community we serve.
What a ceramic coating actually does
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to your paint and cures into a hard, glass-like layer. Once cured, it does four things a wax can't:
- Gloss that lasts. The coating deepens the finish and keeps that just-detailed look between washes instead of fading in weeks.
- Easier washing. Dirt, bugs, and brake dust don't grip coated paint the way they grip bare clear coat. Most of it rinses off before you ever touch a mitt.
- A sacrificial barrier. UV, bird droppings, tree sap, and winter road chemicals attack the coating instead of your paint.
- Safer visibility. We coat the windshield and all exterior glass too — rain beads and sheets off instead of smearing, so you see the road clearly in Ohio weather. Nothing on the car matters more than that.
Why Northeast Ohio cars need it more than most
Between Lake Erie winters, road salt from November through April, and summer sun, paint in Lake County works harder than paint almost anywhere. A ceramic coating is the difference between clear coat that survives Ohio and clear coat that doesn't.

Our ceramic coating process
A coating is only as good as the prep under it. Here's the full process, start to finish — done at your driveway or workplace, or drop off and save, always backed by our 100% Happiness Promise:
1. Wash & decontamination
Foam pre-soak, hand wash with the two-bucket method, door jambs, gas door, bug and tar removal, wheel wells. Then chemical decontamination — iron remover for embedded brake dust, tar remover as needed — and a clay bar treatment to pull bonded contaminants off the paint until it's glass-smooth.
2. Wheels & tires
Deep clean of wheel faces (and barrels when accessible), tires, and wheel wells.
3. Paint correction
One-step machine polish to remove light swirls, oxidation, and minor imperfections — enhancing gloss and preparing the paint for coating. Heavily swirled paint gets the optional two-step correction instead.
4. Coating application
IPA panel wipe to strip polishing oils so the coating bonds properly, then professional-grade ceramic coating applied to all painted surfaces, leveled, buffed, and given proper flash and curing time. The windshield and all exterior glass are cleaned and coated — a visibility upgrade you feel every rainy drive — exterior plastic trim gets protectant, and headlights and taillights are coated for added UV protection.
5. Inspection & delivery
Every coated surface inspected under proper lighting, high spots removed, final wipe-down, and a quality-control pass. Then we walk you through the curing process and aftercare before handing back the keys.
Optional add-ons
Wheel ceramic coating (faces, barrels, calipers), ceramic-coated exterior trim (an upgrade over the protectant included in every package), interior ceramic, and multi-step paint correction for heavily swirled paint. Ask about any of these when we confirm your estimate.
More than paint protection
A coated car is the one you're proud to pull into the driveway — and the one that holds its value when it's time to move on. And because washing takes half the effort, you get your Saturday mornings back.
Common questions
How long does a ceramic coating last?
Our packages are rated for 3 or 5 years of protection — the 5-year package uses a more durable coating system. How the vehicle lives (daily driver vs. garage queen) affects real-world life; we'll give you a straight answer with your estimate.
What's the difference between the 3-year and 5-year packages?
The coating system. The 5-year package uses a more durable coating for longer-lasting protection. The prep — full decontamination, clay bar, one-step paint correction — is identical in both.
Is it worth it on a daily driver?
That's where it pays off most. The easier-washing benefit is something you feel every single week, and daily drivers face the most salt, sun, and parking-lot grime.
Do I need two-step paint correction?
Only if your paint is heavily swirled or scratched — and you don't have to decide. Pick a package, and we'll confirm what your paint actually needs before any work starts.
Can you coat a car with scratches or swirl marks?
The coating locks in whatever is under it — which is why prep matters. Every package includes one-step correction; heavier damage gets the two-step option first.
How do I care for the coating afterward?
Skip washing for the first 5–7 days while the coating cures, then wash with a pH-neutral soap. We walk you through all of it at delivery.
Do you really come to me?
Yes. Driveway, office parking lot — we bring everything needed. Prefer to drop off? Bring your vehicle to us and save. Text us your ZIP and we'll confirm your area in seconds.
